Our Journey
The Idea Takes Shape
While completing doctoral research into corporate sustainability reporting, Upekha recognised a critical gap: Sri Lankan organisations were increasingly expected to report on sustainability, yet had almost no accessible, contextualised guidance. The idea for Apex SI was born.
Research Meets Practice
Publishing in A-grade academic journals on sustainability accounting, the groundwork was laid to translate rigorous research into practical frameworks that finance professionals and managers could actually apply.
First Engagements
Apex SI began working with organisations across Sri Lanka on sustainability strategy and disclosure — helping them navigate GRI Standards, the CSE ESG guidelines, and early ISSB implementation.
Education Platform Launched
Recognising that consulting alone couldn't reach the scale needed, Apex SI launched its online education platform — making expert-level sustainability accounting knowledge accessible to professionals island-wide.
Growing Across the Region
With a growing network of clients and learners across Sri Lanka and Australia, Apex SI continues to expand its consulting practice, course library, and research output — building a more sustainable Asia-Pacific, one organisation at a time.
